Honduran authorities seize a record 15 tonnes of drugs buried beneath a rural house.<br/> <br />The haul is estimated to be worth up to $450 million.<br/> <br />The narcotics were thought to be the precursor chemicals to produce methamphetamine.<br/> <br />The drugs were discovered in the town of Patagallina, located along a major drug smuggling route used by Colombian and Mexican cartels to bring drugs to the U.S.<br/> <br />Mexico also conducted a large drugs bust on Friday, seizing over four tonnes of chemicals and capturing over a dozen suspected members of a cartel.<br/> <br />Police said the massive haul was found at a parcel company in the outer suburbs of Guadalajara after a surveillance operation.<br/> <br />Outgoing Mexican President Felipe Calderon's conservative administration has been dominated by a military crackdown on drug cartels, which has claimed over 60,000 lives in the past six years.
