Homes and businesses ripped apart by Typhoon Bopha.<br/> <br />Winds of up to 210 kph, or 130 mph, hit the southern Philippines when the storm made landfall on Tuesday.<br/> <br />At least four people have been killed and others injured by falling trees and debris.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Visayan) RESIDENT OF DESTROYED HOUSE SAYING:<br/> <br />"I was in the kitchen, then I heard a crack. Something fell on the entire house. Everything collapsed."<br/> <br />More than 50,000 have been evacuated to temporary shelters.<br/> <br />Thirteen fishermen were helped to safety after being stranded at sea and battered by large waves.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Visayan) RESCUED FISHERMAN SAYING:<br/> <br />"We couldn't budge, the waves were too strong. We just waited in the boat."<br/> <br />About 20 typhoons hit the Philippines annually, but this storm is the strongest of the year.
