According to a new statistic from WaterAid, an nongovernmental organisation, more than 50 million people are directly bearing the brunt of lack of clean water and sanitation. <br /><br />Access to government-provided sanitation has dropped from 37% in 1990 to 31% today in the country causing the spread of diseases and poverty. <br /><br />Al Jazeera's Yvonne Ndege reports from Lagos, Nigeria.
