Clinton condemns riot in Northern Ireland

U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton condemned a wave of street violence which erupted during her trip in Northern Ireland.<br/> <br />Clinton said it showed the peace process she has long supported was not yet complete.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. SECRETARY OF STATE, HILLARY CLINTON, SAYING:<br/> <br />"It has been a sad reminder unfortunately that despite how hardy the peace has been, there are still those who not only would test it but try to destroy it. And I really commend the leaders and citizens from the many groups who have condemned this violence, and of course I join them in condemning it as well."<br/> <br />Protesters set a vehicle and garbage bin on fire to vent their anger against nationalist councillors who voted to remove the British flag atop Belfast City Hall after 100 years.<br/> <br />At least 3,600 people have been killed during the last 30 years of unrest.
