A Paris court has convicted three former French soldiers of killing a man while they were on peacekeeping duties in the Ivory Coast in 2005.<br /><br />But their sentences were suspended, meaning they will not be imprisoned.<br /><br />The soldiers admitted killing suspected gang leader Firmin Mahe by putting a plastic bag over his head in the back of their military vehicle, but claimed they were following orders.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Simon McGregor-Wood reports.
