Nuclear operator admits ''lack of safety culture''

When this tsunami hit the Fukushima nuclear power plant in March 2011 it led to the world's worst nuclear accident in 25 years.<br/> <br />On Friday the plant's operator TEPCO admitted a parliamentary inquiry was right when it said the disaster was ''man-made.''<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) CHIEF OF SECRETARIAT OF TEPCO NUCLEAR REFORM SPECIAL TASK FORCE, TAKEFUMI ANEGAWA, SAYING:<br/> <br />"There's so much description of the lack of safety culture and our bad habit in our organisation. We admit, we completely admit that part of the parliamentary report."<br/> <br />Three reactors went into melt-down, contaminating land and forcing 160,000 people from their homes.<br/> <br />Many are unlikely to ever return.<br/> <br />Since then all of Japan's 50 nuclear reactors have been shut down for safety checks, only two have resumed operations.
