The Free Syrian Army closes in on an airport near Aleppo City.<br/> <br />They take it a step at a time in the face of government airpower.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) A COMMANDER IN NORTH STORM BRIGADE, ABU TAMMAM, SAYING:<br/> <br />"We advanced around 200 meters toward the airport, we disabled about six tanks and destroyed a plane, then we withdrew because of the air strikes, we came under pressure"<br/> <br />They pass by unexploded bombs..<br/> <br />They face government forces that are dug in.<br/> <br />Short of ammunition they prepare to fight any way they can.<br/> <br />Elsewhere in the country the battle rages on.<br/> <br />Amateur video which could not be independently verified by Reuters show people -- terrified running through the blood stained streets in suburban Damascus. Rights groups say 120 were killed on Friday alone.<br/> <br />The sound of sirens prevail in war ravaged streets.<br/> <br />More than 44,000 people have been killed in Syria since a popular uprising began in March 2011. And yet the demonstrations go on.<br/> <br />As world powers debate their future in Syria -- they are still on the streets calling for change.
