At least 60 people are crushed to death in a stampede in the Ivory Coast.<br/> <br />A crowd had gathered outside a stadium in Abidjan to watch fireworks. Security forces tried to break up the crowd triggering a panic.<br/> <br />President Alassane Ouattara came to scene.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE)(French) IVORY COAST PRESIDENT ALASSANE OUATTARA, SAYING<br/> <br />"It's a national tragedy, of course. And I really hope that we will push ourselves to investigate to see what could have prevented this tragedy so that it will not happen again."<br/> <br />About 49 people were injured in the stampede.<br/> <br />A mother grieves for two children who are still missing.<br/> <br />The incident was the worst since 2010, when a stampede at a stadium during a football match killed 18 people.
