Seth MacFarlane will get a leg up on his hosting duties when he joins actress Emma Stone to announce the nominations for the 85th Academy Awards.<br/> <br />This will be the first time since 1972 that an Oscar show host has participated in the announcements.<br/> <br />The "Family Guy" creator broke onto the big screen last summer with his box office smash, "Ted".<br/> <br />Stone made an impression at the 2012 Oscars, appearing with Ben Stiller to present the Best Visual Effects Oscar.<br/> <br />Their routine was praised by many as one of the show's highlights.<br/> <br />The Academy Awards will be handed out on February 24th.
