Music For En Exhibition est le second album de Monkeys Project.<br />Ce travail est le fruit de notre rencontre avec Véronique Hubert, une artiste spécialisée dans la technique du collage.<br />Celle-ci a suggéré une collaboration de notre groupe par la création de thèmes musicaux, avec dans l’intention d’illustrer et de représenter de manière sonore ses œuvre dans ses expositions.<br />En d’autres termes, la musique de Monkeys Project est la bande originale de l’exposition de Véronique Hubert.<br />Donc, nous avons pensé à un thème pour notre album en se basant sur le concept d’une ballade dans un musée imaginaire, qui soit un lien entre l’Art pictural et la Musique.<br />Dans cette optique, nous nous sommes inspirés des « Tableaux d’une Exposition » de Moussorgsky, œuvre qui a inspiré la structure du projet.<br />D’un point de vue musical, cet album, d’une certaine manière, est un retour à nos origines, annonçant un retour au style Rock Progressif.<br />En 2006, cet album a été nominé par 2 « Prog Awards » : Meilleur album étranger et Meilleure pochette.<br /><br />"Music for an exhibition" is Monkeys Project's second album. This work is the result of our encounter with Véronique Hubert, an artist specializing in the collage technique. <br />She suggested that our band start a collaboration for the development of music themes intended to accompany and represent her pieces of art in her exhibitions. <br />In other words, Monkeys Project's music is Veronique's exhibition soundtrack. <br />So we thought of a theme for our album based on a walk through an imaginary museum being the link between visual art and music. <br />In this aim, we got inspiration from Mussorgsky's art, particularly ''Pictures at an exhibition", which helped us set the structure for this project. <br />From a musical point of view, this album is, in someways, a return to our origins, emphasizing a return to the progressive-rock style. <br />In 2006, this album was nominated for 2 progawards : Best foreign record and Best Artwork.<br /><br />MONKEYS PROJECT : <br /><br />Michael ATLAN alias GEOVARIUS : Guitars, Synth, theremin, Drum programming<br />SLAINNE : synth, pianos, ambiance, FX, sound engineering<br /><br />Special Guests on this album : <br /><br />- Véronique Hubert for her kindness and talent<br />- YURIKA & Audrey Hastert for composing “Le Voyage” <br />- Audrey “Doudou” Hastert as female voice singer on “Victory”<br />- Patrick Briend as solo guest guitarist <br /><br />© 2006 MONKEYS PROJECT All Rights Reserved
