Standing guard at their base in Laiza --- amid air strikes and explosions that had them seeking cover in trenches.<br/> <br />Myanmar's military has been using jets to attack rebel fighters in northern Kachin state, which borders China.<br/> <br />The conflict between rebels and the government centers around the Kachin fighters refusal to stop blocking military supply routes moving through their area.<br/> <br />While the government says it is open to dialog with the group, one of the most powerful minorities in country --- they've been locked in battle since 2010.<br/> <br />Fighters accused the government of using chemical weapons against them last month and say recent air strikes have killed three civilians including a 15-year-old boy earlier in the week.
