At least one person is dead and 22 others injured after two road crashes in northern Greece involving a combined total of 28 vehicles.<br/> <br />The two accidents happened a few hundred metres apart on a highway close to the town of Alexandria.<br/> <br />Local police said one woman was killed, and two of those injured were in serious condition.<br/> <br />The rest - including two children - suffered minor injuries.<br/> <br />One pregnant woman who was also involved in the crash was taken to hospital.<br/> <br />Authorities believe dense fog may have contributed to the accidents, which took place just before 8 a.m. local time.<br/> <br />Emergency crews closed the motorway as they cleared cars and debris from the road.
