Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan says rebels in Mali must be contained, or it could threaten the security of Africa.<br /><br />Speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, Jonathan also tells Al Jazeera's Stephen Cole that there is a direct link between the Malian rebels and the Boko Haram rebel group in his country.<br /><br />In the same interview, Jonathan also calls for the diversification of the Nigerian economy, which he says has become reliant on oil.<br /><br />"Oil brought money to Nigeria, but oil also brought problem to Nigeria," he says, adding that his country has "abandoned agriculture, which is our primary source of income."
