A daunting winter storm pushes through the U.S.' mid-Atlantic and northeast regions -- and has resulted in three deaths so far.<br/> <br />On Friday, snowy and icy conditions slowed traffic and caused several car crashes, as many drivers lost control on slippery streets.<br/> <br />The sight of snow plows has become a common occurence as crews try to clear the roads.<br/> <br />In Lake Placid, New York, a fire broke out in a building that housed several businesses.<br/> <br />The water used by firefighters to extinguish the blaze eventually froze, turning the building into a block of ice.<br/> <br />Forecasters say the cold will continue through Saturday before temperatures finally rise on Sunday.
