ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Myanmar's democracy leader and Nobel Peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi arrived in South Korea on Monday for her first visit, where she is due to meet the President Lee Myung-bak.<br/> <br />The Nobel laureate was greeted at Incheon International Airport by Na Kyung-Won, a Korean lawmaker who chairs the Organising Committee of the Special Olympics World Winter Games, which Suu Kyi will attend.<br/> <br />When she reached her hotel, Suu Kyi shook the hands of some of the Burmese people who had gathered in the lobby to greet her.<br/> <br />Suu Kyi has been in prison or under house arrest off and on for 15 years since 1989 because of her fight for democracy in the former Burma.<br/> <br />She was released from house arrest in 2010 and elected to the lower house of the Myanmar parliament in April 2012.<br/> <br />During her five-day visit, Suu Kyi will deliver a speech at the opening ceremony of the Global Development Summit, and receive a human rights award in the city of Gwangju, where a pro-democracy uprising was staged in 1980.<br/> <br />South Korea and Myanmar established diplomatic relations in 1975.
