Afghanistan's first national orchestra in 32 years is about to make its international debut.<br /><br />Playing New York's iconic Carnegie Hall and Washington's Kennedy Center, 52 students from Afghanistan's National Institute of Music will mix Afghan folk music with Western classical.<br /><br />The school from which the youth orchestra hails also has big plans. It's building a concert hall and dormitories for the musicians. By 2015 they hope to double enrollment to 300.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Jennifer Glasse reports from Kabul.
