Afghan security patrol the site of a roadside bombing that killed one police officer and wounded eight other people on Thursday.<br/> <br />The deadly blast caused the driver of a nearby car to lose control and crash into the explosion site, killing one civilian and wounding two others.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE) (Pashto) POLICE COMMANDER OF THE AREA, MOHAMMAD IBRAHIM AGHA, SAYING:<br/> <br />"As a result of this explosion one policeman was martyred and eight others wounded. A Corolla car also crashed near the site of blast and one passenger was killed and two others wounded. They were taken to an emergency hospital for treatment."<br/> <br />Eleven years into the NATO-led war against Taliban insurgents, violence against Afghan security forces is on the rise.<br/> <br />The level of violence underlines concerns over how the 350,000-strong Afghan security forces will manage once most NATO-led troops withdraw by the end of next year.
