Mourners gathered in the Cambodian capital on Friday (February 1) to honour the former King Norodom Sihanouk.<br/> <br />People watched as the gold casket moved from the palace grounds to the crematorium. The coffin will remain there for three days before the king's cremation on 4 February.<br/> <br />Sihanouk, once an absolute ruler who freed Cambodia from colonialism before becoming a tragic pawn through decades of turmoil, died in October last year in a Beijing hospital.<br/> <br />He was 89.
