(ROUGH CUT ONLY - NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />British Prime Minister David Cameron met with the presidents of Afghanistan and Pakistan at his country residence, Chequers, on Monday (February 4).<br/> <br />Cameron's meeting with the two leaders Hamid Karzai and Asif Ali Zardari is aimed at discussing peace talks and ways to secure closer ties with Afghanistan and Pakistan.<br/> <br />The meeting is also intended to focus on how to tackle security threats after international troops leave Afghanistan in 2014.<br/> <br />Britain will withdraw nearly half its troops from Afghanistan by the end of 2013, as part of a security handover to Afghan forces more than a decade after the U.S.-led invasion.<br/> <br />Nearly all of Britain's 9,000 soldiers are due to pull out when the NATO mission finishes in late 2014, ending a long, costly and unpopular war that has cost the lives of 438 UK troops.
