ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: A force of more than 1,500 people managed to put a fire raging through China's southwestern Yunnan province under control Thursday, state media reported.<br/> <br />Xinhua said that although local authorities reported that the fire is under control, it has not entirely been extinguished.<br/> <br />So far, there have been no reports of any casualties or injuries related to the incident.<br/> <br />According to local media, about 47 percent of Yunnan is covered in vegetation, making it China's second most heavily-forested province.
