ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Residents in former Myanmar capital Yangon thronged Chinatown to observe the Lunar New Year on Sunday.<br/> <br />Families prayed together and asked for good fortune in the coming Year of the Snake.<br/> <br />Some streets were blocked off so vendors could sell fireworks, balloons, toy snakes and other items, but people came mostly to pray.<br/> <br />Many lit candles and incense at the Chinese temple, the largest in Yangon.<br/> <br />Others took pictures with people in dancing tiger costumes.<br/> <br />Those born in 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001 and 2013 are all born under the Year of the Snake.
