The mangled wreckage of a passenger plane in the Ukrainian city of Donetsk.<br/> <br />The aircraft was carrying 45 crew and passengers, mainly football fans going to attend a Champions League match between Shaktar Donestsk and Germany's Borussia Dortmund.<br/> <br />But their journey ended in tragedy when the plane caught the meteorological tower with one wing and hit the floor with its other wing.<br/> <br />Five people died in the crash.<br/> <br />Twenty six people were injured - among them the pilot Sergiy Malashenko.<br/> <br />The cause of the crash has not yet been identified, although one survivor said there had been a fire on board which had been brought under control.<br/> <br />The public prosecutor said a criminal investigation has been begun.
