Calm prevails in this resort on the Pacific island of Guam.<br/> <br />But waiter Sid Tinoso tells of the nightmare he witnessed here on Wednesday when a man stabbed two Japanese tourists to death.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) WITNESS, SID TINOSO SAYING:<br/> <br />"I didn't think anything, you know, I just reacted, jumped over those people, tried to chase him. His attention first... I tried to get his attention by taking off my shirt and using it as a guard. I got his attention so he started to run through Underwater World, so I chased him."<br/> <br />21-year-old Chad Desoto is accused of the attack, first using his car to target pedestrians before crashing and continuing on foot.<br/> <br />Media say one man has since died after being hit by the attacker's car bringing the death toll to three.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (English) WITNESS, SID TINOSO SAYING:<br/> <br />"The lady was on her knees trying to wake up her mum - the old lady on the ground - holding the baby. He ran in back of her and repeatedly stabbed her. The baby dropped the same time she dropped, but the baby made a really bad sound, man. Out of instinct, already chasing him, I just jumped far and at the same time pushed him - we both rolled, he got up, still holding the knife, so I grabbed him by his waist."<br/> <br />All three victims are reported to be Japanese.<br/> <br />Visitors from Japan are the mainstay of Guam's tourism industry.
