Criminal Law <br /><br />People often ask whether I should talk to the police when I'm arrested. <br />That question, although I think it's human nature to want to explain your <br />side of the story or your position, I don't know how many times, or how <br />strenuous I could tell you, it's not in your interest to talk to the police <br />without talking to a lawyer first. So, although it may be human nature for <br />you to explain to the cops or explain to the police exactly what happened, <br />don't do it. I don't care how much in your gut you want to, do not do it <br />until you've talked to an experienced lawyer, because what you say can and <br />will be held against you.
