Britain's Prime Minister David Cameron has described the massacre of hundreds of Indians during colonial rule as shameful.<br /><br />But he stopped short of a formal apology for the incident in 1919 in the city of Amritsar.<br /><br />Cameron's on an official visit to India.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Khadija Magardie reports.
