With just days until the Academy Awards, workers were busy in West Hollywood on Thursday (February 21) setting up the venue for Elton John's 21st annual Oscar party.<br/> <br />Construction was well underway on the series of tents that will house the more than 900 invited guests.<br/> <br />John's husband, and co-host to the party, David Furnish said the party is not only an opportunity to celebrate the awards show, but also to raise money for the Elton John AIDS Foundation.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE David Furnish saying:<br/> <br />"It's great to have an opportunity to take the world's biggest awards show, which attracts so much media attention and use that as a platform to raise money and awareness for HIV/AIDS. We've raised over 35 million dollars with this party over the last 21 years."<br/> <br />This year's party will feature pink, red and gold decor - along with an array of gourmet food and appetizers designed by celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. It will also feature live music.<br/> <br />This year's guest list includes Miley Cyrus, Sharon Stone, Taye Diggs and Katy Perry, among others.
