In the northern Malian town of Gao, heavy fighting to oust Islamists has devastated a wide area around the City Hall.<br /><br />About 15 rebels were killed when Malian forces bombarded the building following reports that Islamists had infiltrated the town.<br /><br />Local people whose market stalls were destroyed complained they had lost their livelihoods in the combat.<br />http://www.euronews.net/
