ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Heavy rains and flooding in southwestern Ecuador left at least eight people dead on Saturday, at the beginning of the winter season.<br/> <br />The storm hit the country's largest city of Quayaquil late Saturday evening, flooding streets and stranding drivers.<br/> <br />Officials reported the death count included one person who drowned, six who were electrocuted and one child who was missing after being swept away by the tide.<br/> <br />Local authorities declared a state of emergency as more rains are expected in the coastal city.
