ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: Filmmaker Martin Scorsese honored fellow director Darren Aronofsky at the first annual First Time Fest in New York on Monday (March 4).<br/> <br />Aronofsky is the brains behind such box office hits as "Black Swan", "The Wrestler" and "Requiem for a Dream." The 44-year-old began his film career with the black and white thriller "Pi" in 1998, which Scorsese jokingly described as distressing.<br/> <br />Scorsese went on to call the young film maker fearless and vividly alive.<br/> <br />The newly formed festival was formed by Mandy Ward and Tony Bennett's daughter Johanna Bennett, who wasn't shy about using her father for help.<br/> <br />The festival is for first time film makers with one director winning theatrical distribution and full international sales representation from the American film distributor Cinema Libre Studio.
