With the death of Hugo Chavez, Venezuela has started the race to elect a new leader.<br/> <br />Acting President Nicolas Maduro pushed for a snap election just hours after Chavez was honoured at a state funeral.<br/> <br />On Saturday (March 9) election officials said the vote will now be held on April 14th.<br/> <br />With little campaign time before the election, Maduro has been accused of cashing in on an emotional outpouring following Chavez's death.<br/> <br />He'll likely run for presidency against Henrique Capriles, who lost to Chavez in October.<br/> <br />The opposition leader accuses the government of fraud for allowing Maduro to campaign without stepping down.<br/> <br />Both politicians have until Monday (March 11) to register as candidates.
