Angry protests in Afghanistan's capital Kabul as hundreds call for the withdrawal of U.S troops from Wardak province.<br/> <br />Afghan president Hamid Karzai gave U.S special forces two weeks to leave the province last month.<br/> <br />This followed accusations that Afghans working for them tortured and killed innocent people.<br/> <br />Wardak residents travelled to the capital on Saturday and demanded the president keep to his word after agreeing to give the US more time to maintain security in the province.<br/> <br />This man says Special Forces not only tortured innocent people but also detained 10 people and protesters were demanding their release.<br/> <br />Another accused supporters of the continued US presence in Wardak of being foreign spies.<br/> <br />Wardak is known as the gateway to Kabul and the surrounding mountains are an ideal staging post for Taliban militants who bring in bombers and weapons to the capital.<br/> <br />.
