ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />SCRIPT: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge took part in traditional St. Patrick's day celebrations with Irish guards at the Aldershot Barracks in England on Sunday.<br/> <br />Prince William's pregnant wife Catherine, presented members of the 1st Battalion Irish Guards with sprigs of shamrock in a tradition dating to 1901 when it was started by Queen Alexandra.<br/> <br />The Duchess also honored the regimental mascot, an Irish wolfhound, by pinning a shamrock to its collar.<br/> <br />The Duchess wore a dark green dress coat and a gold shamrock brooch that was previously worn by the Queen Mother.<br/> <br />Prince William, who is Colonel of the Irish Guards, was dressed in traditional regalia.<br/> <br />The British royal couple are expecting their first child in July.
