A car bomb exploded here near the presidential palace in Somalia's capital Mogadishu on Monday.<br/> <br />Police said at least 10 people were killed in the blast, which appeared to have targeted senior government officials.<br/> <br />The suicide attacker detonated explosives while driving along a boulevard that runs between the palace and the national theatre.<br/> <br />Security in Mogadishu has greatly improved since a military offensive drove Islamist rebels out of the city in August 2011.<br/> <br />But bombings and assassinations remain a regular occurrence.<br/> <br />It wasn't immediately clear who was behind Monday's attack.
