There have been violent protests in Bangladesh as a general strike by the opposition enters its second day.<br /><br />They are demonstrating against the convictions of three men accused of collaborating with Pakistani forces during the independence war of 1971.<br /><br />On Monday, the main opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party and its 17 partners tried to enforce a shutdown, which is aimed at securing the release of opposition leaders and activists who are in prison.<br /><br />Al Jazeera's Sohail Rahman reports.<br /><br />(Warning: Some of the images might be disturbing)
