While "The Book of Mormon" may yet have to convince British critics, lukewarm reviews haven't stopped the hit musical's commercial success.<br/> <br />Following a celebrity packed opening night at the Prince of Wales Theatre on Thursday (March 21), the show has broken records for the highest one-day box office sales in the West End.<br/> <br />Tickets had long been sold out until June, but on Friday (March 22) promoters made some 150,000 additional tickets available, taking in more than 2 million pounds.<br/> <br />"The Book of Mormon" is the brainchild of "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone.<br/> <br />And co-writer Stone said he felt optimistic British audiences would love the show about two Mormon missionaries sent to Africa to win converts.<br/> <br />SOUNDBITE: Matt Stone, writer, saying (English):<br/> <br />"You know South Park has been on air here [in the UK] for a while and we were raised on British comedy.
