Clergymen and Christian faithful file into the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, here in Jerusalem's Old City.<br/> <br />They're flocking to the ancient church to celebrate mass on Holy Thursday.<br/> <br />According to Christian tradition, Jesus washed the feet of his twelve disciples before the Last Supper, prior to his crucifixion.<br/> <br />Now, the Latin patriarch is washing the feet of twelve of his clergymen.<br/> <br />In attendance at Thursday's mass are many local Palestinian Christians as well as pilgrims from around the world.<br/> <br />The Church of the Holy Sepulchre, believed to have been built on the site of Christ's crucifixion, burial and resurrection, was constructed by the Roman emperor Constantine.<br/> <br />Because of disputes over ownership of the church among different Christian congregations, it is unlocked each morning by a Muslim keyholder.
