Pope Francis holds his first Holy Thursday mass as leader of the Roman Catholic Church.<br/> <br />During the service, the newly selected pontiff urged Catholic priests to go out among the poor and suffering in their communities.<br/> <br />(SOUNDBITE) (Italian) POPE FRANCIS:<br/> <br />"The Lord will say this clearly: his anointing is meant for the poor, prisoners and the sick, for those who are sorrowing and alone."<br/> <br />Thursday's mass was the latest indication since Francis's surprise election two weeks ago that he wants the 1.2 billion member Church to be closer to the poor.<br/> <br />Holy Thursday marks the start of a busy schedule over the next four days leading up to Easter on Sunday.
