EDIT CONTAINS 4:3 MATERIAL<br/> <br />Three coal miners were rescued from a mine in southeast China on Monday (April 8) morning, state media reported, adding that three have died and another three are still missing.<br/> <br />CCTV said the three were trapped in the Yunda Coal Mine for three days, before they were rescued.<br/> <br />Official state-run news agency Xinhua said that the accident that occurred on Friday (April 5) was caused by a flooding in the mine.<br/> <br />Sha Xiangui, the local Weng'an County Committee of the Communist Party Secretary, said rescue operations would continue until the remaining three were found.<br/> <br />CCTV added that the three rescued miners have been hospitalized and remain in stable condition.<br/> <br />Xinhua said that eight people have been taken into police custody in connection with the ongoing investigation into the cause of the flooding.
