ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION)<br/> <br />STORY: A truck driver in Bangladesh is killed after demonstrations of the country's opposition, Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) turned violent on Tuesday (April 09).<br/> <br />The BNP activists were protesting against the arrest of their leaders for their role in cases of alleged war crimes.<br/> <br />Bangladesh has been rocked by protests and counter-protests since January, when a tribunal set up by the government to investigate abuses during the war of independence against Pakistan handed down its first conviction, sentencing a leader of the Jamaat-e-Islami party Abul Kalam Azad in absentia to death.<br/> <br />Jamaat-e-Islami opposed Bangladeshi independence from Pakistan in the 1971 war.
