Myanmar opposition party leader and Nobel Peace prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi arrived on Tuesday in parliament to a standing ovation as Japan prepared to discuss aid to the Southeast Asian nation.<br/> <br />After Myanmar's transition to democratic government in March 2011, Tokyo has stepped up efforts to help the fast-reforming country's drive to democracy and economic development, Kyodo news agency said.<br/> <br />The news agency added that Japanese businesses are also vying to invest in Myanmar where the labour force is still relatively cheap and abundant.<br/> <br />Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said in parliament that his government supports the peace process between conflicting ethnic groups in Myanmar.
