Hundreds of people gathered Tuesday (April 16) in Boston for a vigil after the bombings that shook the city's marathon on Monday.<br/> <br />Visitors fought back tears and embraced friends and loved ones to honor the victims of the explosion that has taken the lives of three people and wounded 176 others.<br/> <br />Dozens lit candles and laid flowers on the ground during the quiet and somber event.<br/> <br />Banners were laid on the ground for people to write notes of encouragement and hope. Messages included, "We are Boston strong," "We're all with you," "Peace," and "Love destroys hate."
