Anti-drug agents in Colombia have seized hundreds of properties valued at over $25 million that are thought to belong to cocaine kingpin Daniel "El Loco" Barrera, Colombian authorities reported.<br/> <br />A series of raids were carried out on various sites in coordination with the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.<br/> <br />Among the assets seized were luxury residences reportedly in the name of family members of "El Loco's" but linked to the drugs baron.<br/> <br />Dozens of commercial establishments, various cattle farms and an expansive 2,600-hectare property were confiscated by authorities.<br/> <br />Captured in Venezuela last year, Barrera was one of Colombia's most-wanted drug traffickers. Colombian authorities accuse the drug kingpin of overseeing a smuggling ring capable of sending ten tonnes of cocaine a month to Mexico's Sinaloa cartel, the most powerful organised crime gang in the Americas.
