Blue sky thinking has become reality for Swiss company Solar Impulse.<br/> <br />Hoping to write the next page of aviation history, the firm had this solar powered plane in the air for 16 hours.<br/> <br />This test flight over San Francisco paves the way for a cross America mission planned in early May.<br/> <br />The route is split into five stages starting from the Bay Area and ending in New York.<br/> <br />Solar Impulse aim to pioneer new forms of adventure as well as promote clean technologies.
