The suspect Boston bombers were planning an attack on the Fourth of July, according to a report in the New York Times.<br /><br /> Dzhokhar Tsnarnaev, the sole surviving suspect told investigators, he and his brother, Tamerlan settled on home made explosives and pressure cooking bombs that they made in Tamerlan's Cambridge, Massachusetts apartment.<br /><br />The Times reports the brothers finished their bomb making quicker than first thought so they decided to reschedule their attack.<br /><br />As for how they selected the Boston marathon, the New York Times reports the brother drover around the Boston area randomly looking for alternative sites.
