The assassination in December 2007 of Pakistan's Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto is still shrouded in mystery.<br /> <br />A United Nations report in 2010 raised the possibility that the Pakistani military could be involved.<br /> <br />On Friday a prosecutor investigating her death was himself shot dead.<br /> <br />Chaudhry Zulfikar was killed as he drove from his home in Islamabad to attend a hearing in the Bhutto case.<br /> <br />Police say 12 bullets were fired by gunmen on a motorcycle who then escaped.<br /> <br />Zulfikar was also investigating the 2008 Mumbai attacks in which 166 people were killed.<br /> <br />His assassination comes days after a Pakistani court put former President Pervez Musharraf on remand for charges of failing to provide adequate security for Bhutto before her assassination.<br /> <br />Speculation has lingered that Bhutto was the victim of a plot by allies of Musharraf who didn't want her to come to power.<br /> <br />High profile members of the Taliban were also under investigation.<br /> <br />Zulfikar's
