American DJ, actor and former adult entertainer Sasha Grey arrived in Vladivostok on Wednesday to take part in a car rally from the far-east city to Moscow.

During a press conference Grey denied her plans to become a citizen of the Russian Federation. She confirmed that her photo with a Russian passport that was published earlier this year was a Photoshop joke. Grey posed in front of the cameras holding a Russian passport that belonged to one of the organisers of the rally.

Wednesday evening Grey will tour around Vladivostok and later play a DJ set in one of the city's nightclubs.

The rally is organised by the automobile website drom.ru, which has said the rally is a test drive and a promotional event.

Grey will be driving a Lada Kalina for the 9,000-kilometre rally, during which she will have a chance to visit cities such as Irkutsk, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, and Sochi. She will take part in different activities including a visit to lake Baikal and cooking traditional Russian dumplings known as pelmeni.

Grey, 25, became one of the world's best known adult entertainers in 2000, but retired from the industry in 2011 to focus on modelling, conventional acting and music.
