  • Keep improving

Overall, Jobber is a great platform, but there are several areas that definitely need improvement, particularly with the mobile app, AI Receptionist, client records, and third-party integrations. As a business owner who relies on Jobber daily, these are practical improvements that would make a significant difference in efficiency. 1. Technician Time Tracking Business owners should be able to view technicians’ time entries and hours worked on individual jobs directly from the mobile app. This information should be readily accessible without having to switch to the desktop version. 2. AI Receptionist Call History Every incoming call should have a clearly displayed date and timestamp. Phone numbers should also be clickable, allowing us to return calls directly from the AI Receptionist’s call history. Currently, unless a caller submits an actual request that becomes associated with a client profile, we have to manually copy and paste the phone number to return the call. This is an unnecessary inconvenience that should be easy to correct. 3. Better Integration Between Pages There needs to be more seamless navigation between AI Receptionist conversations, call history, client profiles, requests, and jobs. Information should be interconnected without requiring users to constantly switch between screens or manually transfer details. 4. Native Mobile Text Messaging There should be an option to open a customer’s phone number in the device’s native text messaging app rather than being limited to messaging within Jobber. Many customers initially contact us through regular text messages. Having the flexibility to communicate through our phone’s messaging app, while ideally maintaining a connection to their Jobber client profile, would be extremely valuable. 5. Centralized Client Attachments and Photos All attachments, including photos and documents uploaded to individual jobs, should automatically populate in a centralized attachment section within the client’s main profile. Currently, having to open individual jobs to locate previously uploaded photos or documents is unnecessarily time-consuming, especially when a customer has a long service history. There should be one consolidated list or gallery showing every attachment associated with that customer, regardless of which job it was originally uploaded to. Ideally, each attachment would also link back to its original job for reference. 6. Better Two-Way Integration With CompanyCam The CompanyCam integration is a great example of a feature that has potential but needs better connectivity. I appreciate that Jobber can automatically create a corresponding project in CompanyCam. However, there should also be a direct link within the Jobber client or job profile that opens the associated CompanyCam project, and vice versa. If the integration already connects the two platforms and creates the corresponding project, there should be no reason we can’t navigate directly between them. This would eliminate unnecessary searching and make the integration significantly more useful. Overall Feedback These aren’t extravagant feature requests. They’re basic workflow improvements that would save contractors and business owners considerable time throughout the day. Jobber continues to introduce new features, particularly AI-powered tools, but I believe greater attention needs to be given to improving the functionality, navigation, and integration of the features already available. A truly efficient platform should make information accessible from wherever you’re working, whether that’s a client’s profile, an individual job, the AI Receptionist, or an integrated application like CompanyCam. I would really like to see these improvements prioritized and implemented sooner rather than later. Jobber is already a valuable business management tool, but addressing these everyday frustrations would make it substantially better for the contractors who depend on it.

Don’t start your business with Jobber like we did. So many inconveniences and quirks that delay our payouts and leave us starving for our pay. Get Quickbooks. It’s a CRM (client relations management) that has everything plus more and has bookkeeping built into it

  • WORST APP

The app does not let you in fully after you’ve entered your business information. Then they talk about “you’ve entered a free trial” without showing you the price of the trial . Bare foolishness. Do not download and get this app out the App Store.

Jobber has a habit of messing up/losing time or clocking you out all together. It’s not constant, but it will lose you money if you don’t catch it and amend. Also they update it and tweak it far too much. Stop messing with and changing needless stuff. It has gotten easier to upload pictures. But do not mess with my money, yo. Also the jobber support blames you when it messes up, so then you have to explain to your employer and prove you’re up to date, fun stuff!

  • Poor excuse for a time card

one of the two worst workplace solutions and definitely the worst digital punch card I’ve ever had the displeasure of using both as a laborer and an owner. You are better off grabbing a notepad, a pencil, and a manilla folder like it’s still 2003, than you are falling for jobbers marketing. You are better off giving your guys a timesheet every week, and having them log their hours and job name the old fashioned way. Genuinely nothing this thing does justifies the absurd price, poor interface, workplace confusion, and absolutely asinine job setup. The AI features are wholly unnecessary, add zero actual convenience to day to day use of the app and unironically they are the only ones that will consistently work. Doesn’t matter though, your guys can’t clock in unless the connection is rock solid. guys can’t see the job you’ve assigned them to half the time either unless you mess around with it on a computer while they’re in the app so despite paying for a solution you’ll be calling and texting your employees in the morning like you always have anyway. My guys aren’t clocking out for lunch because your app wont let them clock in afterwards, so it looks like they’re working through every lunch. Any idea how bad that looks? The ability to clock in and out while offline and the app automatically sending it out when you reconnect is something plenty of existing timecard apps have already figured out and built in. The fact that this one doesn’t makes whatever vibe coded nonsense you threw together on top of the poor time clock (seriously? one job.) suck more. It also gets people who just need to clock in and out with this pile’ in trouble with their boss, who, thanks to Jobbers’™️©️®️ awful, misleading, marketing, think a glorified punch clock where your laborers can write down what their job of moving and gophering was that day can go any sort of way towards replacing a proper invoice and job summary. Less than useless.
