The app is sending me notifications that it's bed time and my alarm is set for the wrong time - it's annoying I keep having to go back and confirm that my alarm is indeed set for the time I set it for when my hatch notification tells me otherwise.

I’ve been using hatch for years now and love it. Definitely helps me wake up earlier as I always found it hard to wake up early when my room is pitch black, having the light gave me a little more motivation to get up. If you want a sunrise type alarm this is perfect the free version of the app does everything you want it to with the paid features just being some extra things if you want them but aren’t crucial. Lastly the customer service is awesome. I work shift work so I couldn’t just set my alarm to repeat on certain days as when I’m not home it would be waking up my girlfriend, so I submitted a suggestion to allow your alarms that don’t repeat to stay in your list after they go off this way you can just toggle them on with your prefers setting already there. I didn’t think it would be added just because it was one small request from a customer. I got the typical nice response from the company saying thanks for the suggestion and didn’t expect it to go farther than that. However, in an around a month that feature was in the app.

The app was fine and then turned horrible after they updated it and turned all of the settings to sliders….. it’s so difficult to adjust the volume or brightness now you have to slide.

This app is so terrible it’s actually astounding. Does not function. Every button you press causes it to load 10-15 second before an error message pops up. It tells me my hatch is disconnected from wifi and makes me restart it every. single. night. And then when I do… the app STILL doesn’t work and is riddled with error messages. I deeply regret purchasing this product and 90% of that is due to the app’s functionality.

Had the Hatch baby for the past 6 years and used it every night. Never had an issue. I do wish there were more sound options but outside of that it’s been great.

The physical product is great. The app is absolute trash. Doesn’t work properly, they do updates to “fix” issues and another issues appears. They also tend to do their updates in the evening when the app is at peak use. Do your research before getting this product.

Every single time you need to use the monitor option you have to go through a tutorial and click next 5 times. If I need to say something to my kids really quick, it’s not really quick because of this dumb feature. Enable the option to disable this .

My hatch is basically unusable. I’ve been trying to do the required update to the app for months. I only used it about twice before this app was required and locked me out. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times, but it still leads to a constant need for some update that will not load. I’m unable to get into my device through the app. Ready to toss this thing in the trash and buy the more affordable and effective competitors version.

I’ve had this app for over two years and it’s been all good but something changed a few months ago. Now each time I open the app, my hatch needs an update. It’s comical.. for example, I opened it this morning and it needed two or three minutes to “update” then this afternoon same thing… needed an update. I believe it’s some sort of planned obsolescence to force people to subscribe but maybe thats too crazy

Our first Hatch for our first child works great connects to the app has moved with us connected to different wi-fi no issues at all. Our second Hatch for our newborn won’t stay connected to the app and essentially resets every time we turn it off. Can’t utilize most of the features due to this. Would rate 2.5 stars if possible, 5 stars for the first hatch 0 for the second.
