Too restrictive and annoying to be a useful tool.

Useful but murky instructions

I have used Malwarebytes for years and I completely trust it. Thank you very much for the protection you provide.

I’m giving this app three stars because although I’m on the ultimate plan and believe I’m pretty safe, the fact that there’s a separate application for the VPN it’s making my account seem like there’s two different devices when it’s actually one and it’s super complicated. Also, the app itself is relative useless one interacting with it because it just directs you to the webpage. It’s hard to tell if you’re actually protective on the application itself.

UPDATE 01/09/2025:NOTHING HAS CHANGED IN 3 YEARS. Still the same miserable conundrum with contacting Customer Service and getting the help I need to set up on a new computer. I paid for this and have no license code 4 days later. Chat Bots are no help for what I need to do. 7/21/22 Update: I have no faith in Malwarebytes for iPhone. The interface is totally different than with Android and What I just encountered tells me that I am wasting my money on Malwarebytes for iPhone. I am going back to my Android phone ASAP. I have been using this app for 3 years now. I recently switched from an Android phone to iPhone. This app autorenews so you don’t skip coverage. That’s a great feature in any app we rely on. Unfortunately, any time you change devices, apparently, your membership doesn’t transfer to your new phone. I already have Malwarebytes on more than one device. I have tried to reach out to customer service but it’s not easy to reach someone for human help. I don’t have time to sift through “community” boards or FAQ. If I’m paying $60 per year for an app, there better be a human at the end of the line. I rely on my phone as a self employed person. It’s my secretary. Now, my brand new iPhone is polluted with spam texts and I’m pretty sure they’re not benign; they look pretty malicious to me because I have no idea how to block or stop them. I am always printed with a request to BUY the app again. I no longer use my Android phone. I just renewed its subscription a short time before buying the iPhone. I like the idea of this app, but this. We situation is a caveat I never saw coming and I’m extremely disappointed that I cannot email tech support to talk about this. My Android sits in a drawer with a fully paid subscription.

We need an immediate update to be realistic There is currently no option inside the setting for the app to restrict all connection incoming and outgoing traffic when the VPN is disconnected You need to add this option as a Network Traffic KillSwitch feature The fact that this isn’t readily available already is truly sad for the impression Malwarebytes has for many users and I cannot update to five star rating if you cannot keep up to date by at least being serious.

I’ve been with your company less then 24 hours and I don’t recognize the way my phone or ipad was doing when I had to call Amazon this evening. First off it said you or Amazon was a scammer,then it sent me a code.I was so lost, I thought what have I gotten into ? Hopefully it will get better. It could be I’m too old for this much technology.
