Good budget app

Best one i’ve found. Accurately tracks spending and net worth. Connects with nearly all accounts.
Would love to see the feature to use last month income to budget

Just in terms of visualization, it would great if Monarch can have this similar to YNAB.
AI slop that gives your financial data to OpenAI

Originally a great product that has been abruptly ruined in a spectacular breach of trust to shovel AI chatbot slop into their software while giving away our PERSONAL FINANCIAL DATA to OpenAI. Unbelievable. We’ve cancelled our subscription and are moving to Banktivity (a great app so far that clearly prioritizes data encryption and privacy!). Good riddance.
Great but missing one feature

Monarch offers several iOS widgets but not one for cash flow. This would be a 5 star app if I could just see at a quick glance how my spending stacks up to my income for the month

I previously had copilot money, which was nice, however it never released new features. I signed up for monarch money about a year ago and I can honestly say I am getting the best bang for my dollar! They are constantly working and *releasing* new features and seem to listen to the users! Highly recommend
Cash Flow

Great app. Wish there was a cash flow feature on main screen and also have a feature to see how you are progressing in budget page to show how your spending is matching based on time of month.
Really Good App

I just started using this app. I really like this it, as I've been looking for something similar for some time and finally I found this one. I like that the app scans my receipts, reads and recognizes the products on the receipt. The app has a good interface, is very intuitive and easy to use. However, I have some suggestions that I believe would be very helpful if the app could perform these functions: -> being able to read e-receipts. We are increasingly opting for paperless, so this function would be very helpful, especially since some receipts are large and taking a screenshot can be a challenge. -> the app being able to connect with our favorite e-commerce stores. Our purchases would already be automatically registered. And the app allowing the creation of subcategories and cost centers. Overall, I'm excited to continue using the app and to see new updates.
Apple Watch compatibility request

I need to see all my data from the watch I’m obsessed with monitoring my budget but in my work they don’t allow the use of the cell phone so I hope they add Apple Watch compatibility right now so I have access to my data quickly or I’ll have to look for other options, as for the 10 / 10 application
AI features nobody asked for

UPDATE 12/29/25: Monarch has added a toggle to fully disable the AI features. I still worry a bit about data privacy related to this functionality.
I love Monarch and have been using it for over a year. I don’t, however, appreciate them implementing AI in such a shortsighted manner with poorly implemented UX.
The simplicity of this app is a big part of what makes it great. Please give users the ability to fully disable the AI features and hide the associated UI elements.
Long term, LLMs aren’t cheap to build into products. I fear this will drive up the price of the subscription as well, and at that point I would look to other software.
They listened and made AI optional!

I love a company that listens to its customers. In a previous update, Monarch added an AI feature, which (in my opinion) may be helpful for some, but not all. The error prone nature of LLMs and money do not mix.
I wish this feature were opt-in to begin with, but I am very glad they listened to their user base and added an opt-out feature. Monarch is back on top.
